the pineapple express
There's trim speed... and then there's trim speed on a BIG board.
Born from Adam Davenport's admiration for his mentor, Mike Geib, the Pineapple Express pays tribute to the longer, gunnier boards Geib rode throughout his travels in the 1960s. Adam starts with our proven Hobie rocker, then puts his own spin on the design.
The outline takes cues from a late '60s semi gun, making it more responsive than the straighter curves of the Encore or Camp Host while still delivering effortless trim. A healthy panel vee, crisp tail edges, and optional speed channels give the board a lively, lifting feel once it settles into its stride.
Our crew prefers the Pineapple Express in the 10'0" to 10'6" range. It delivers classic big board glide with a little more maneuverability, making it a unique addition to our long-range lineup.
A rare bird in the Hobie quiver, the Pineapple Express is ready to carry you down the line in style. All aboard!
