Hull B
All "Hulls" are designed and shaped by master craftsman Adam Davenport. Tested by the Hobie Surfboards Team at local reef and point breaks, each design is crafted to ensure performance and integrity.
The Hull "B" is our "Stubby" design, typically shaped between 6'0" and 7'0". It features a wide-point-forward outline, with the wide-point positioned more centrally compare to the "A" model. Davenport tailors the rocker to each customer, but the "B" includes a touch of tail rocker, making it distinct from the "A" series. Riders will find that transitioning in and out of turns requires deliberate engagement from both feet, staying true to the classic Hull experience.
The "Stubby" outline makes the Hull "B" incredibly lively, especially in small, zippy wave conditions. Its fuller tail and wider curve stand in contrast to the straight rail line and standard pintail of the "A". This added contour delivers a pleasurable ride, particularly suited for the typical waves of California.
As with all of our Hulls, the "B" demands dedication to master. Think of it like "hard-bop" jazz--it requires your full attention.
